Technology that brings neighbors together.

ShareVita builds free, community-run tools that make it easier to share resources, support each other, and reduce our footprint.

Community tools for good

Free platforms that connect people, reduce waste, and strengthen neighborhoods.

Pet support & companionship

ShareSkippy connects dog owners and dog lovers so dogs get exercise, owners get help, and neighbors become friends — at no cost to anyone.

Low-impact travel & community carpools

RideShareTahoe makes it easy to share rides to Lake Tahoe — fewer cars on the road, shared gas costs, and a built-in community of mountain enthusiasts.

More community tools coming

ShareVita is actively building new platforms to help people share time, skills, and resources in their local communities.

Active projects

Each project is a free, community-run platform built to solve a real need.

ShareSkippy

ShareSkippy is a free community platform that connects dog owners with neighbors who want to borrow dogs for walks, hikes, and adventures — without the full-time commitment of ownership. Designed for city dwellers, renters, and dog lovers who can't have their own pet, ShareSkippy works through simple profile matching and community trust. Dogs get more exercise and social time, owners get free reliable help, and communities grow stronger through shared care and real connection.

RideShareTahoe

RideShareTahoe is a free community carpool platform connecting Bay Area residents headed to Lake Tahoe's ski resorts, trails, and shorelines. Drivers post available seats; riders request to join — no booking fees, no algorithms, just neighbors coordinating trips together. Every shared ride reduces traffic on I-80 and Highway 50, lowers carbon emissions, and makes Tahoe more accessible to people without cars or on limited budgets.

What this can look like

These are the kinds of connections ShareVita tools make possible every day.

A renter without a yard finds a neighbor's dog who needs daily walks. She gets fresh air, exercise, and a furry companion on her lunch break. He gets reliable help for his senior dog — for free. Both get a neighbor they trust.

A grad student without a car posts on RideShareTahoe looking for a seat to Palisades. A driver two blocks away has an empty seat and wants to split gas. They carpool every weekend that winter and start a regular crew.

An elderly dog owner recovering from surgery connects with three neighbors through ShareSkippy. Her dog still gets daily walks, she stays connected to her block, and new friendships form in the process.

Our mission

"ShareVita operates on the belief that technology should bring people closer together, not further apart."

ShareVita is a community-driven nonprofit helping people help each other again. We use technology with purpose and compassion to rebuild neighborhoods and belonging. Our platforms make it easier to share time, skills, and care — reconnecting communities through real-world support and digital tools that feel human.

ShareVita has received IRS determination as a 501(c)(3) public charity. All programs and platforms are free to use. We do not sell user data or charge fees for community participation. Donations and volunteers help us grow and build more tools.
